This book is remarkably insightful and powerfully written from the perspective of a man who was able to reflect back on the carnage of his life and honestly recognize where he had gone wrong. He had a number of bad things happen in his young life, including the death of his father at age 10, but he doesn't make excuses for the path he chose to take and doesn't try to make light of his own evil deeds. The book reveals a very ugly side of law enforcement and the prison system but there are redemptive parts to the story, particularly at the end.Product details

Absolutely fascinating !!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this excellent true story.
I really like me his book. It was told by the man that was in prison. It is very interesting to read about their plans to rob the banks.
A rather better read than I had anticipated. Not highly polished prose but interesting.
Very readable book. Insightful into criminal mindset, needed prison reform, and crooked FBI. The FBI is still as crooked today as was discussed by Floyd in the book. Floyd's early hatred of society paralleled that of Charles Manson. Manson went on to murder, Floyd drew the line at that point and reformed his life.. Good read.
Floyd Forsberg spent over a decade trying to expose the corruption of law enforcement officers, FBI agents, Parole officers and prison officials. Before you dismiss his accusations as attempts to exonerate himself from his crimes, let me tell you the kind of corruption he reports is real and does occur in our prison and judicial system. No not everyone is corrupt!, but there are always a few bad apples trying to make extra money by lining their pockets with money made from selling services to a literally "captive" market. Lying to get what they want to further their career. I know because I spent twelve years investigating corruption in the Florida Prison system. Over 1100 documented cases with a the vast majority coming to my attention from inmates. Inmates who were telling the truth regarding corrupt officers. Inmates and honest staff members who took a risk with their own lives and careers. We cannot ignore inmate allegations of corruption. The inmates live in the prison 24 hours a day and they know better than anyone what goes on inside the walls of prison. This is a very good book with great details. I was pleasantly surprised and I have recommended this book to friends, co-workers in prison jobs and law enforcement as well as colleges and universities for studies in criminal justice. Great Read!
